I took Michael fishing today despite the cold, drizzly weather. We headed out to our local fishing hole where we did some fishing and poking around in some backwater areas. I caught 5 fish, including this nice 3-lb largemouth bass. Michael tried but did not catch anything, but he's already looking forward to next time. There was plenty else to do, as we saw lots of wildlife, including turtles, a wood duck, and some loons wailing away in the mist. Michael said it was creepy, but cool-creepy, not scary-creepy. We also hiked on the dam at the end of the lake, and saw some areas we'd like to explore on a future trip. It was a good tune-up for my fishing trip next weekend.
