Emily cut her finger this weekend. To pass the time at Michael's baseball games this month, I've been letting her whittle wood with my 1" keychain pocket knife. Well, that little bugger is sharp, and the blade collapsed on her finger, causing a nasty slice. After a trip to the hospital and some super glue, she was doing fine. The doctor said my first aid to smooth the flap of skin and wrap it tight with a bandaid probably saved her some stitches. Chris is still fuming that I let her use a knife. I'm biding my time before arguing that a bigger knife with a locking blade would be a lot safer.
